The companies will install the Cansolv integrated sulphur-dioxide and carbon-dioxide capture unit at the 1,500-megawatt (MW) coal-fired Aberthaw power station in South Wales, but will face stiff competition, as Scottish and Southern Energy plc (PINKSHEETS: SSEZY) (SSE) (Perth, Scotland) has plans for a 5-MW CCS demonstration plant at the Ferrybridge coal-fired power station near Castleford in Yorkshire.
